sports left that you cannot pay someone to do it for you. After the Pull Clinic though, you will need a snow ready vehicle to continue learning and the right gear to keep yourself warm. This sport takes place when it is cold (under 50 degrees F) for the safety of the dogs. That means many of the runs will be very early in the morning (7am) or late at night. To learn from experienced people, you may have to get up quite early on the weekends and invest in a good head lamp. If you commit to run with someone show up, and when you are learning from someone, you are working with their schedule. Many of our mentors are training for competitive races and working with more than a few dogs. It really depends on your sled and your dogs! There are races offered for smaller two dog teams through open class which can have a pool of more than eighteen dogs! If you are intending to run with only 1-2 well-trained dogs that do not have too much pulling power, then a kick sled may be a better option than a traditional dog sled.
