SKIJORING (ski driving)
This sport can be done with one to three dogs and a pair of cross country skis.

Equipment:
Dog Harness; tow rope; skijoring belt; cross country skis (classic or skate skis).
Equipment available through Alpine Outfitters (alpineoutfitters.net)

Where to go:
Snow covered trails that are packed down or groomed and allow dogs.
Areas around Mt. Hood include, Frog Lake, Trillium Lake, and Skyline


Races:
There are skijoring races associated with most dog sled races. Recreational and advanced classes are usually offered. (see this years race schedule for upcoming
events)


Training:
Cascade Sled Dog Club offers a pull training clinic each fall. Watch the CSDC web site for dates (cascadesleddogclub.com)
