It's true! We had so much fun hosting the Frog race in January that we're planning on doing it again in February!
We'll be offering the usual suspects plus some fun new stuff. Information, race entries can be found on our Race Page Planning to come to the 2016 CSDC Frog Lake race, January 9th and 10th, 2016?
Entries are now closed. For spectator information, click here. Note that this race is weather-dependent. This website will show the current status, so be sure to check back often! Current Status (FINAL): Race is ON! Our next club meeting is at Tim & Sharon's home in Eagle Creek, OR.
They will be preparing a turkey dinner. Please bring a side dish to share, and BYOB. Meeting starts at 5:00pm. RSVPs are requested - here. All are welcome but please let us know you're coming! Wow - isn't that photo pretty? That's our view each October when we camp out together, run dogs, clear some trails, have a meeting and BBQ and bonfire.
Bring your tent or RV, dogs, and tools and join us the weekend of October 16-18 to help clear trails so the groomer can get through this winter. Once again, we're offering our Pull Training Clinic to help get dogs and their owners started in dog-powered sports! This clinic only happens twice a year. Now's the best time to sign up, as CSDC members begin Fall Training shortly after the clinic. Clinic attendees can jump right into the real deal after learning all the basics! This is how many of us got "hooked."
This Pull Clinic is now FULL, but we are collecting names for our Wait List. Send us a note if you'd like to be on the wait list. Time to join CSDC or renew your membership for the 2015/2016 season!
It’s super easy, just click here for details, you can pay online or via mail. Either way you choose, please remember to fill out the membership online form on that page; it helps keep all our info current and reminds us what you’re interested in volunteering for! The club puts on several events (weather permitting) and your dues money helps to fund those, as well as the club's efforts advocating for trail access to train our teams on and securing new venues for possible dryland events. We rely on your support to continue these efforts. Without the membership we wouldn’t have this resource, or a united voice to help protect our access. Our annual CSDC end-of-year awards banquet is quickly approaching!
Come see who takes home the prize for "Musher of the Year," "Most Improved Musher," "Whoa, Dammit, Whoa" and more! The banquet is being held at member Heidi & Peter's home in NE Portland on Saturday, May 16th at 4pm. All are welcome, but please RSVP for address and head count. Potluck meal - bring a dish to share. No dogs, please. Teach your dog to pull for all sorts of canine-powered sports! We're offering our community Pull Clinic Training on Saturday, April 18th in Estacada, Oregon. Registration for this Clinic is now closed. Please visit our Pull Clinic page to contact us for more information about our next clinic!
We unfortunately have no snow at the race site. The Frog Lake race scheduled for 02/28 and 03/01 has been cancelled.
If you have paid your entry fee and do not receive a refund within the week, please contact the Race Organizer. |
